Artist's Statement

 

I enjoy capturing the emotions of life, whether it be a relaxing landscape, an excited facial expression or a colorful still-life. Being an art teacher for several years, I've come to appreciate many forms of art and I enjoy the versatility in our modern world today. I especially enjoy plein-aire painting as I can capture the beauty and events of the day as the light approaches. I feel my painting is complete when it says exactly what I want it to say at the end of the process.
